When I saw the ads for Louis Vuitton’s 2009 fall campaign, it was pretty safe to say I thought they were Shopped. Because, you know, people usually don’t give off such a tinny glow in real life, even if that person is Madonna. As you know, she has been featured here before and I will say now what I said then – she still looks pretty damn good without all the filters and airbrushing.
As a matter of fact – now that I can see the before, she looks WAY better unfiltered.

Am I high? In what sense does Madonna look good? Sure, she looks younger than she is, but in context, in that get up, she looks like a sad old woman trying to look like what she is not, young. The idea that looking any amount younger than you are overshadows looking ridiculous shows how much Photoshopping has affected the way we think about “looking good.”
Well, in the original image I think she looks good for her age, and my point was LV didn’t have to Photoshop it so heavily with airbrushing and filters for her to look good. Granted, I don’t like the outfit she is wearing here either, but I think that is less Madonna’s choice and more LV’s choice.
That’s a fair point but Madonna looking silly because of her age/image juxtaposition isn’t limited to the LV ad.
