About

My name is Michelle (friends call me Mick), and I am an Art Director who has worked professionally in the graphic design field since 1990. I have used Photoshop for just about as long as it has been around, and continue to use it daily for both business and pleasure. It is a fantastic program that has helped to change the face of the industry I work in, and thus my career. Although I wouldn’t call myself a Photoshop expert (as I feel I am always learning new things about the program) I guess you could say that - yes, I have seen quite a few Shops in my time.

Oooh, that was bad. Sorry.

Anyway, this site had been kicking around as an idea in my brain for a while. Originally I thought about doing a series of posts about Shops on my personal site, but when I started compiling all the photos and writing about them it dawned on me that this material was an entire site – not just a few casual posts – and thus This Looks Shopped (aka TLS) was born.

The focus of this site is part fangirl musings over the awesome power of Photoshop, part history of manipulated and hoax images, part snarky pop-culture social commentary and part Photoshop tutorial. Basically this is a place for me to geek out on a subject that has always interested me. I hope you enjoy this site, and if you have any ideas or Shops you would like to share please contact me. I’d love to hear from you.
